Every child has the indisputable right to health and a happy childhood. However, life can be unpredictable, bringing with it challenges and circumstances for which we are not always prepared. Perhaps right now someone is quietly waiting for a helping hand that could become their ray of hope. By providing support, together we can create positive changes in the lives of human beings beside us.
With this conviction, last year we, VENDEN, the manufacturer of spring and natural mineral water, launched an initiative with the aim of helping to provide the Children’s Clinical University Hospital with the necessary equipment for newborns and children in the intensive care unit. This year, we want to expand the campaign in cooperation with the Children’s Hospital Foundation, providing support to others who suffer hard times.

In the period from 01.02.2025 until 31.03.2025 buy natural mineral water VENDEN or products based on it in PET bottles at any sale point throughout Latvia or on www.venden.lv and with your choice support our initiative to donate one cent from each product sold to the Children’s Hospital Fund!
The amount donated during the promotion, which will be 1 cent from each bottle sold, will be transferred by the Children’s Hospital Foundation to the purchase of necessary equipment.

The largest specialized multi-profile children's medical institution in Latvia, which daily treats several hundreds of small patients not only from Riga, but also from the regions. However, even the most skilled physicians need qualitative and appropriate equipment to provide the necessary treatment.
The Children's Hospital Outpatient Health Centre has recently opened its doors, offering qualified medical care and support to young patients on their way to recovery. However, so that the newly established centre and the Children’s Clinical University Hospital could fully provide the highest level of medical care to everyone, it is essential to continuously purchase the equipment of the latest generation and carry out improvement work. These improvements are important to provide children with more efficient and effective care.
The foundation was founded in 2001 with the mission of taking care of children’s health by attracting the help of the public. During the more than 24 years of operation of the Children’s Hospital Foundation, several important projects were implemented, which continue to help children to get well and improve the quality of life. In close daily cooperation with the Children’s Clinical University Hospital, the Children’s Hospital Foundation contributes to ensuring that the treatment available to children at the hospital is professional, high-quality, and provided in child- and family-friendly conditions, as well as to ensure the continuity of the provided aid for every child whose health needs support after treatment in the hospital.

Last spring, the amount donated as a result of the campaign reached 15,000 EUR. With these funds, the Children’s Hospital Foundation provided the Children’s Clinical University Hospital with everything necessary to create 5 special water-heated beds – they purchased special heated mattresses, and the equipment intended for them.
"The Neonatal Care Department of the Children’s Hospital is attended by babies who no longer require intensive care, but who need special attention and care. Most often, premature babies and their mothers come here. In order for babies to feel good, they really need warmth, which can be provided by special heated cribs. The best comfort is provided by heated water mattresses, in which newborns feel almost like they are in their mother's womb – surrounded by warmth and water thermoses. One crib can hold two or even three mattresses, which is often necessary, as twins and sometimes even triplets are often born prematurely. That is why we are very happy about the donation from VENDEN – five new heated water cribs, which will allow all the babies in the ward to be provided with the best possible conditions so that they grow bigger and stronger," says Iveta Yakimenko, Head nurse of ward 16 of the Children’s Hospital.
Continuing what was started in 2024, this spring we also have the opportunity to do good things together, supporting those who need it most.
Children’s Hospital Foundation needs support in the implementation of various projectsevery day. With your donation, you can support a specific campaign (for example, providing assistance to psychological support camps for children from Ukraine), direction (Paw Therapy, Courage boxes, Parents' house, etc.) or program (for example, Joy-To-Eat).
