On May 20, the Children’s Clinical University Hospital (CCUH) in Riga hosted the closing ceremony of the charity campaign organized by VENDEN, during which a cheque for 15,000 euros was presented to the Children's Hospital Foundation.
The charity campaign lasted for two months - from February 1 to March 31. During the campaign, the company donated one cent from each VENDEN product sold in a PET bottle to the Children’s Hospital Foundation. With the donated funds of 15,000 euros, the hospital plans to purchase two breast pumps with the necessary accessories for newborn care, as well as a specialized otoacoustic emission hearing diagnostic device this year, which will significantly improve hearing screening opportunities for newborns and young children, including children with developmental disabilities, for whom early diagnosis is especially important.
The delivery of the equipment to the hospital is expected in the near future, while at the event, hospital representatives expressed their gratitude for the support provided in 2024, as a result of which everything necessary for the creation of special heated beds was purchased. They have been used every day in the care of newborns and are especially important for the comfort of premature babies, as well as twins and triplets in the first weeks of life.
The festive event was attended by VENDEN’s CEO Aldis Skutans and company employees, the Member of the Board of Children’s Hospital Zane Straume, Chairwoman of the Board of Children’s Hospital Foundation Liene Dambina, as well as the Head of the Neonatology Clinic of the Children's Hospital Dace Sniedze, the Head of the Breast Milk Bank Elza Salputra, the Head Nurse of the Neonatal Department Iveta Jakimenko, the Head of the Ear, Throat and Nose Diseases Clinic Janis Sokolovs and otolaryngologist Mareta Audere-Balode.
We would like to express our gratitude to everyone who actively purchased our products during these two months, thus supporting the charity campaign, as well as to our cooperation partners who implemented communication about this campaign both on social networks and in retail outlets. VENDEN CEO Aldis Skutans emphasizes: “Healthy and happy children are the foundation of our society’s future, so caring for them has always been a priority for VENDEN. We are pleased that for the second year in a row we can contribute to improving the treatment options for young patients at the Children’s Clinical University Hospital. By joining forces, we can help, so we thank everyone who supported our initiative with their choice and invite other companies to get involved in charity, promoting positive changes!”
“We are delighted that VENDEN is implementing a charity campaign in support of the Children’s Hospital for the second year and are inviting the public to get involved! Last year’s donation still helps the youngest patients feel warm and safe every day, grow big and healthy, and this year too, thanks to the generous donation, the care provided to babies will be improved. Many thanks to VENDEN and every customer who participated and provided their support!” gratitude is expressed by Liene Dambina, the Head of the Children’s Hospital Foundation.
