Abstraction site:

Spring water is abstracted from Mezuli spring that is an arm of Dukuli spring group and it is located in one of the highest and cleanest places in Latvia - Vidzeme Uplands, Gauja National Park, Koceni District.

VENDEN Mezavots is a unique creation of nature, as its water flows through surface of clean quartz sand deposits, thereby naturally purifying and quartz sand forms a natural filter that makes water naturally soft.

The use of disposable corks guarantees authenticity of the product.

In 2016 spring water "VENDEN MEZAVOTS" and natural mineral water were added to the family of the Green Spoon products.

The first step of production process is visual and organoleptic examination (using human senses) of VENDEN bottles returned by customers.

When organoleptic test is carried out, the bottles are placed in external bottle washer where they are washed with clean water and mechanical brushes from the outside and placed on a leak test device. It checks a bottle's integrity. All bottles that fail the test will be automatically discarded.

Carefully checked bottles are delivered to washing machine where automatic bottle rinsing, washing, disinfection and final rinsing takes place. The washing machine is equipped with the Hidrojet system, i.e. the device that is injected directly into a bottle and operates at very high pressure and rotation thereby ensuring high-quality washing and rinsing process.

When the bottles are thoroughly washed, they are delivered to bottling machine where they are filled with mechanically filtered spring water.

Next, the bottles will be transferred to corking machine where they are automatically corked. During production process, the corks are stored in a container and they are approached to the corking machine by using cork elevator. To prevent contamination of a product, the container is equipped with UV lamp.

Bottled and corked bottles come to labeling equipment. Labeling equipment inflates date of lifetime and production time on a cork of each bottle. By taking into consideration chemical and microbiological features of spring water, time of its use is three months.

Bottled and corked bottles are examined visually to verify quality of production and quality of corking. After visual examination, a transparent wrapper is automatically placed on the bottle cork and a bottle is placed in a heat tunnel where the shrinkage of the wrapper takes place, creating a safety isolation of bottle neck and cork.

When bottles are labelled and examined, they are delivered to consumers as soon as possible.

Certificates

VENDEN production process is monitored by the Food and Veterinary Service. Since 2011 VENDEN plant has been certified according to requirements of ISO 22000: 2005 "Food Safety Management System". The company has a quality control laboratory which is also evaluated in accordance with requirements of ISO 22000: 2005. Abstraction and production of natural mineral water VENDEN as well as spring water VENDEN Mezavots is certified by the Latvian Certification Centre.

Water of natural origin is by far the most popular choice in the European Union: natural mineral water and spring consumption together are 97% of the total market volume;

The higher mineralization in water, the more salty taste it has;

Mineral water of increased mineralization should be used in limited quantities and it is not suitable for children under the age of seven;

On a label of a mineral water bottle a producer must indicate place of production and the most important water ingredients;

Natural mineral water is intended for consumption in natural, untreated form;

Origin of the most famous natural mineral waters in the world is always associated with mountains, because air and water are always cleaner there.
